Did You Know:
Weatherization can reduce your energy costs for a long period of time. After a home has been weatherized, energy used for heating is often reduced an average of 32%. Some improvements, such as insulating your sidewalls or attic, for example; will continue to provide savings for the lifetime of the home.
Some typical weatherization measures that may be done to your home include:
- Sidewall and attic insulation
- Infiltration work (caulking and weatherstripping around doors and windows and glass repair)
- Repair/Replacement of furnace/heating unit (Home-owned units only)
Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. Weatherization Program uses contractors to install the materials. Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. Weatherization Program will weatherize approximately 100 homes during the year.
