Some typical weatherization measures that may be done to your home include:
- Sidewall and attic insulation
- Infiltration work (caulking and weatherstripping around doors and windows and glass repair)
- Repair/Replacement of furnace/heating unit (Home-owned units only)
Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. Weatherization Program uses contractors to install the materials. Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. Weatherization Program will weatherize approximately 100 homes during the year.

The program serves a 14 county area so there may be a wait for the weatherization work to be completed. Counties served are Antelope, Burt, Cedar, Cuming, Dakota, Dixon, Dodge, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Stanton, Thurston, Washington and Wayne.
Eligibility & Application:
Whether you own or rent, live in a single-family, multi-family, or a mobile home you can apply for assistance. You can apply by visiting the Weatherization Application. The Weatherization Program is an income-based program. Households with incomes at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level are eligible.
If someone in your household receives Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), or participates in the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP), you are automatically eligible.

Weatherization can reduce your energy costs for a long period of time. After a home has been weatherized, energy used for heating is often reduced an average of 32%. Some improvements, such as insulating your sidewalls or attic, for example, will continue to provide savings for the lifetime of the home.
