FULL-TIME, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, may be subject to layoff periods.

ABOUT US:
Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership (NENCAP), INC is a private, nonprofit corporation. NENCAP serves an income-eligible population in a 14-county area of Northeast Nebraska with programs such as Head Start, Early Head Start, WIC/Immunizations, Healthy Families, Weatherization, and Family Services, free tax preparation, car seat programs, Veteran Services, Commodity Supplemental Food Program, and food pantries.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • The Food Service Aide assists in carrying out the meal service for the children and staff at the work location.
  • Assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals at scheduled times in accordance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
  • Assist in the completion and posting of required nutrition reports, including attendance, CACFP daily meal counts, temperature logs, and menu planning and production sheets.
  • Store and label food following the Food and Safety Sanitation requirements.
  • Submit proper paperwork to the Central Office in a timely manner.
  • Abide by the Kitchen Inspection Report and state inspection reports.
  • Perform kitchen and dining area cleaning duties including trash, sweeping/mopping, loading, and unloading dishwasher, clean sinks and restrooms if requested.
  • Maintain confidentiality of program participants and follow Program and Agency standards and policies.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION:

High School Graduate or GED required.

  • Education and experience in food service.
  • ServSafe Food Handler certificate at plus!

WAGE & BENEFITS:
