Non-Profit Agency


The Health Professional is responsible for nutrition education and basic medical screening. Duties include certifying participants according to established program guidelines. Perform hemoglobin checks. Provide breast feeding education and support to new mothers. Assist clients with making appointments and updating client records as needed.  Nurses will screen and administer vaccine at immunization clinics and enter and maintain accurate records in program computer system. Also assist with ordering and monitoring vaccine on hand. Receive Department of Immunization Training and/or WIC training as required. Refer participants to other resources as needed or requested. Cleaning of clinic and office site/lifting up to and including 50 pounds.  Maintain confidentiality of all participant client information and follow Program and Agency standards, policies and procedures.


Nurses: RN or LPN credentials from an accredited school.  Nebraska LPN or RN License in good standing.

Nutritionist: Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition, or Home Economics/Consumer & Family Sciences with emphasis in nutrition.
