Weatherization Installer (Pender, NE Location)

NENCAP’s Weatherization Assistance Program is looking for an INSTALLER to join our team! Four-day work week, Monday-Thursday. Position is full-time 40 hours per week. The NEW starting wage is $18.00 per hour, plus benefits. Installation team will travel throughout our 14-county service area installing weatherization materials on eligible homes. Basic carpentry skills/experience is preferred. All tools are provided. Entry level position with possibility for advancement. Must have valid driver’s license and be able to comply with the agency’s auto insurance standards. JOB SUMMARY: The Installers are responsible for installation of weatherization materials on homes according to the job order including tracking of materials. This may include but not limited to weather stripping, caulking, attic and wall insulation, foundation insulation, replacement of broken glass and similar work. Clean and prepare weatherization site to eliminate possible hazards. Load, unload and identify building materials and tools for worksite. Perform all procedures required by the Nebraska Department of Environment and Energy. Lifting is required – ladders, scaffold, pre-hung doors, windows, up to 80 lbs. Attend training sessions/meetings as required by the program. Maintain confidentiality of participant information and follow Program and Agency standards, policies, and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED, experience in carpentry, prior building construction experience. Must be able to comply with the agency’s auto insurance standards.
