NENCAP’s Weatherization Assistance Program is looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our team! Four-day work week, Monday – Thursday. Position is full-time 40 hours per week. Wage is $18.00 per hour, plus benefits.  The Inspector is responsible for accurate energy audits and estimations on homes in our 14-county service area, to be weatherized following program guidelines.  Must have valid driver’s license and be able to comply with the agency’s auto insurance standards. JOB SUMMARY: The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for accurate evaluation and estimation of material items on homes to be weatherized according to the State Plan written by the Nebraska Department of Energy and Environment (NDEE).   Work closely with contractors in the weatherization of home.  Complete computer audit and work orders, keep daily log of activities and trip tickets. Responsible for in-progress and final inspections on client homes.  Inspect newly installed furnaces and perform all procedures required by the NDEE and Weatherization Office such as blower door test, furnace efficiency inspection, CO detection and initial and final backdraft test. Responsible for seeing that vehicle maintenance is done as needed.   Review client files and final sign off on database.  Some lifting is required (blower door, ladders, etc). Attend training sessions/meetings as required by the program.  Maintain confidentiality of participant information and follow Program and Agency standards, policies, and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED,  experience in carpentry, and basic knowledge of furnaces.  Some bookkeeping and computer skills helpful. Must be able to comply with the agency’s auto insurance standards.
