JOB SUMMARY: The Safety Coordinator will adhere to NENCAP personnel policies, Head Start Program Performance Standards, Early Childhood Standard of Conduct, Staff Calendars, Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), School Handbook for parents and Rule 11. Maintain confidentiality for children, families, program, and Agency. Coordinate purchasing and inventory for the Early Childhood Programs. Obtain price quotes, bulk buy and coordinate delivery of kitchen, cleaning, medical, dental and office supplies for the centers. Coordinate and track maintenance/repairs of centers, including replacement of copy machines, copier contracts, inventory, etc. Coordinate logistics and assist with set-up of program events such as pre-service, in-service, trainings and other program sponsored events. Coordinate registrations and lodging logistics for staff. Track individual center budgets for classroom and parent activities. Coordinate individual classroom supply buying through procurement procedures and check the orders for payment approval. Provide purchasing, inventory, and maintenance reports as requested.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required. Six plus months of experience in a related field.
